The use of analysis is important in developing products, but even more important is performing an analysis that gives you the maximum understanding of the product or situation you are analyzing. In this paper presented in 2016 at the 32nd Semi-THERM conference in San Jose, I give an example of choosing a method to perform an analysis that provides the greatest feedback and understanding of what the design is capable of performing. In this case the customer received an in-depth understanding of what the system could do.
